At NLnet Labs we believe collaborating with academia is essential. This gives us the opportunity to disseminate our research in academic conferences and journals, getting feedback from a community of experts. Also, through collaborations with master and PhD students we can help train the next generation of networkers and provide them insights from our real-world experience.

Long term collaborations

University of Amsterdam
NLnet Labs regularly hosts students from the System and Network Engineering (SNE) master at the University of Amsterdam, and provides guest lectures on demand.
University of Twente
We collaborate with the Design and Analysis of Communication Systems (DACS) group at the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Maths and Computer Science (EEMCS) of the University of Twente. One of our staff, Roland van Rijswijk-Deij, has a part-time position as associate professor in that group and supervises bachelor, master and PhD students in the field of networking.

Student Internships

We regularly host bachelor, master and Ph.D. students for internships, for more information, see "Internships" on our careers page.
